A remarkable blend of classic styling and modern performance, this 1958 Chevrolet Corvette restomod has been meticulously refurbished and upgraded over a two-year period, completed in April 2024. The iconic C1 Corvette now boasts a powerful 6.0-liter LSX V8 engine equipped with a 2.9-liter Magnuson supercharger, delivering exceptional power and performance that far surpasses its original specifications.

At the core of this stunning build is the supercharged LSX V8, a modern powerhouse that transforms this classic Corvette into a true performance machine. With the addition of a Concept One serpentine belt system, Holley Terminator X fuel injection, and a stainless-steel exhaust system, the engine is not only powerful but also finely tuned for reliability and drivability. The Aeromotive fuel system with an in-tank pump ensures that the engine receives a consistent fuel supply, while the Ron Davis aluminum radiator with dual fans keeps the engine cool even under demanding conditions.

Shifting is handled by a Tremec T56 Magnum six-speed manual transmission, paired with a McLeod 11-inch twin-disc clutch. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a rear differential sourced from a C3 Corvette, ensuring that the car delivers its immense power smoothly and effectively to the pavement.

The Corvette’s original chassis has been replaced with a first-generation Art Morrison chassis, which has been powder-coated for durability and fitted with C5-specification front suspension components and C4-specification rear components. This modern chassis setup significantly improves the car’s handling and ride quality, making it more capable on both the street and the track.

Stopping power is provided by Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, featuring six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers paired with cross-drilled and slotted discs. These high-performance brakes ensure that the Corvette can come to a halt as quickly as it accelerates, providing confidence and control during spirited driving.

The exterior of this Corvette has been refinished in a striking metallic green with cream coves, staying true to its classic roots while adding a modern touch. The soft top mechanism has been removed to give the car a sleek, open-roadster look. Split chrome bumpers, fender vents, and a driver-side mirror retain the car’s vintage charm.

Raceline Classico wheels, staggered at 18 inches in the front and 20 inches in the rear, are wrapped in Nitto tires for a combination of style and performance. The car’s stance is aggressive yet refined, perfectly matching its enhanced performance capabilities.

Inside, the bucket seats have been re-trimmed in luxurious cream leather, extending to the center armrest, gear shift boot, and door panels. Modern conveniences such as a Vintage Air climate control system, JL Audio head unit, and subwoofer have been integrated seamlessly into the interior, providing comfort and entertainment without compromising the car’s classic aesthetics. The Hurst shifter and Dakota Digital instrumentation, including a 160-mph speedometer and tachometer, add to the car’s modern functionality while preserving its vintage appeal.

With only 300 miles shown on the digital odometer since the refurbishment, this 1958 Chevrolet Corvette restomod is a unique blend of classic style and modern performance. Whether cruising down the highway or stealing the show at car meets, this supercharged, LS-powered Corvette offers an unmatched driving experience that honors its heritage while embracing the future of automotive performance.
