1969 AMC Javelin With 35K Miles to Cross Carlisle Auctions Block

Carlisle Auctions is set to showcase a well-preserved piece of American Motors history when a 1969 AMC Javelin goes under the hammer as Lot 150. This example shows just 35,000 original miles and carries period styling details that made the Javelin a standout in the competitive pony car wars of the late 1960s.

Finished in turquoise with black stripes and a matching black vinyl top, the Javelin presents a striking profile that remains instantly recognizable among muscle car enthusiasts. Stock chrome Magnum 500 wheels complete the period look, while the dual exhaust system hints at the performance beneath the hood.

Power comes from AMC’s 290-cubic-inch V8, paired with an automatic transmission. Though smaller than the big-block options offered at the time, the 290 still provided plenty of punch for drivers looking for a balance between performance and daily usability. This particular Javelin also features Edelbrock chrome valve pan covers, adding a touch of aftermarket flair to the otherwise original engine bay.

Inside, the black interior retains a classic look with modern convenience provided by an AM/FM CD radio.
