A true icon of American muscle car history is now live for bidding on Bring a Trailer: a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429, finished in factory-correct Black Jade and offered at no reserve.

Built to homologate Ford’s fearsome 429ci V8 for NASCAR competition, the Boss 429 remains one of the most coveted Mustangs ever created. Only about 850 examples were produced for the 1969 model year, each one completed by the performance specialists at Kar Kraft in Brighton, Michigan. This car, assigned Kar Kraft number KK1485, was originally delivered to Kirk Ford in Hancock, Maryland, and is believed to have undergone a comprehensive rotisserie restoration around 2003.

Under its aggressive, functional hood scoop sits the legendary 429-cubic-inch Cobra Jet Boss V8, factory-rated at 375 horsepower, featuring a Holley 735-cfm carburetor and aluminum intake manifold. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission and a 3.91 Traction-Lok differential, delivering the kind of raw, exhilarating performance that earned the Boss 429 its legendary status.

The car retains its factory-correct features, including 15-inch Magnum 500-style wheels wrapped in Goodyear Polyglas tires, power steering, and power front disc brakes. The suspension is competition-spec, complete with reinforced hubs, staggered rear shocks, and heavy-duty control arms.

Inside, the cabin is finished in black vinyl with simulated woodgrain accents across the dash, console, and door panels. Period-correct touches, such as the Philco AM radio and deluxe seatbelts with reminder light, remain intact. The five-digit odometer shows 33,000 miles, approximately 100 of which were added by the selling dealer following recent servicing, including a fresh set of spark plugs and a replaced transverse muffler.
Offered with an Elite Marti Report and a clean Arizona title, this Boss 429 represents a rare chance to own an investment-grade piece of Ford’s muscle car legacy — one that still looks ready to dominate both street and strip.
This awesome “Boss 9” is being sold by top-selling dealer Cascio Motors. Visit their site or call to learn more about their inventory and to obtain assistance selling your vehicle.
