A unique 1985 Ferrari Testarossa, modified by renowned German tuning company Koenig Specials, is now available for sale. Initially delivered in Germany, this Testarossa underwent significant modifications in 1986 as part of Koenig Specials’ Competition Evolution II package, transforming it into a high-performance machine with distinctive aesthetics.

This Ferrari Testarossa, which has journeyed from Germany to Japan and finally to the US, boasts an impressive array of modifications. The bodywork includes revised fascias, vented fenders, side air intakes, a raised rear wing, fixed headlights, louvered taillights, and a plexiglass engine cover. Inside, the car features power-adjustable bucket seats trimmed in red leather, Schroth four-point harnesses, a MOMO steering wheel, Koenig-branded instrumentation, a boost-control dial, and a custom stereo system.

High-Performance Upgrades and Specifications

Under the hood, this Testarossa is equipped with a 4.9L F113A flat-12 engine, modified with a Koenig Specials KCE 1000 Turbotronic twin-turbo kit. The engine setup includes twin KKK turbochargers, side-mounted intercoolers, a MoTeC engine management system, and a center-exit exhaust system, delivering a formidable performance rated at 1,000 PS in Evolution trim. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential.

The car rides on Koni shocks with H&R springs and features AP Racing disc brakes for superior handling and stopping power. The 17-inch multi-piece alloy wheels with gold centers are shod with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires at the front and Pirelli P-Zero Asimmetrico tires at the rear.

After its initial life in Germany, the car moved to Japan and then to the US, where it has been meticulously maintained. Koenig Specials, founded by privateer racer Willy König in 1977, gained fame for its bold modifications of Ferrari models, including the Berlinetta Boxer and later the Testarossa. The Competition Evolution II conversion showcased at the 1985 Frankfurt Motor Show set a new standard in performance and style.
