A rare 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec N1, one of just 38 produced, has been listed on Bring a Trailer, offering collectors a chance to acquire one of Nissan’s most exclusive R34 variants.

Built as a homologation model between January 1999 and June 2000, the V-Spec N1 was stripped of non-essentials for competition use. All examples left the factory finished in white with black non-folding mirrors, omitted rear wipers and fog lamps, and lightweight fittings. This specific car, chassis BNR34002856, is number 21 of the series and carries documented modifications from REINIK, Nissan’s former motorsports engine division.

Under the hood, the twin-turbocharged 2.6-liter RB26DETT features reinforced block construction, steel turbine turbos, and an auxiliary oil cooler. REINIK’s tuning included revised camshafts and ECU mapping, complemented by a J.ing Techno Engineering intake, Sard radiator, and NISMO injectors. Power is delivered through a six-speed manual transmission and Nissan’s ATTESA E-TS PRO all-wheel-drive system with an active rear differential.

The car rides on 19-inch NISMO LMGT4 wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sports, backed by gold Brembo brakes. Aerodynamic additions include a carbon-fiber rear diffuser, adjustable rear wing, and front splitter. Inside, the right-hand-drive cabin reflects the N1’s purposeful design, with gray cloth upholstery, a resin-trimmed console, and deleted amenities such as air conditioning and radio.

Imported to Australia in 2015 and acquired by the current seller in 2020, the Skyline is offered with Japanese service records, an owner’s manual, import paperwork, and Queensland registration. The odometer shows approximately 41,000 kilometers (about 26,000 miles).

Considered a pinnacle of Nissan’s motorsport-inspired engineering, the V-Spec N1 combines rarity, factory race prep, and enduring collector appeal. Its appearance on Bring a Trailer underscores rising global demand for top-tier Japanese performance icons.
