A rare, single-owner 2006 Ford GT with only 235 miles is now at the center of a high-profile holiday sweepstakes that also offers a $250,000 cash alternative for winners who prefer money over metal.
The supercar, finished in Midnight Blue with painted white racing stripes over an Ebony leather interior, is one of just 190 examples produced in that color combination for the 2006 model year. According to sweepstakes organizers, the car has remained with its original owner since new and has been preserved with delivery-level mileage.

Under the rear clamshell sits a mid-mounted, supercharged 5.4-liter DOHC V8 producing 550 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Ricardo six-speed manual transaxle and a helical limited-slip differential. The drivetrain reflects the engineering philosophy behind the model’s original mission: to rival Europe’s top supercars while paying tribute to Ford’s Le Mans-winning GT40 racers of the 1960s.

The car is equipped with several factory-selected performance and comfort features, including forged lightweight BBS aluminum wheels measuring 18 inches up front and 19 inches at the rear. Braking is handled by red-painted four-piston Brembo calipers clamping cross-drilled and ventilated rotors. Additional equipment includes HID headlights, a front splitter, rear diffuser, air conditioning, and a McIntosh CD stereo system.
The Ford GT’s construction is as much a talking point as its performance. The extruded-aluminum space frame, roll-bonded floors, and aluminum body panels were all engineered to save weight while maintaining structural rigidity. Exterior details include dual center-exit exhaust, side air intakes, fog lights, and a vented hood that visually echoes the original GT40’s racing lineage.

The sweepstakes also features limited-time bonus incentives. Through December 24, entrants receive 25 percent more entries, and anyone who enters by that date is also eligible for a flash prize drawing featuring a 1964.5 Mustang.
Winners will have the option to accept either the low-mile Ford GT itself or a $250,000 cash alternative, depending on personal preference. Organizers say only one of the two prizes will be awarded to the grand prize winner.

With ultra-low mileage, one-owner history, and a documented factory configuration, the 2006 Ford GT being offered stands as one of the cleanest modern examples to surface in a public giveaway in recent years.
