Built by Superformance and registered as a 2006 Superformance Daytona, this tribute car captures the spirit and presence of the original Shelby Daytona Coupe while incorporating modern engineering and comfort features. At its heart is a roaring Roush-built 427 cubic-inch V8 equipped with 8-stack fuel injection, paired with a Tremec T-56 six-speed manual gearbox. The powerplant not only offers immense torque but also showcases the visual drama of the individual throttle bodies peeking out from under the clamshell hood.
The drivetrain is supported by a performance-focused chassis featuring a tubular frame, independent rear suspension with a 3.46:1 Positraction differential, and adjustable coil-over shocks. New tires are wrapped around 18-inch center-lock wheels, while rear-exit side pipes emit the unmistakable rumble that made the original Daytona a legend on the track.
Painted in a classic light blue with white racing stripes, the coupe boasts aggressive styling that recalls its Le Mans heritage. Inside, the cabin is equipped with modern amenities including air conditioning, roll-up windows, racing harnesses, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel—providing a balance of driver comfort and race-ready functionality.
