One of three in the world, this sinister black 2016 Koenigsegg Agera RSR is guaranteed to excite people everywhere it goes. At the moment it’s headed to the auction block in Dubai and is predicted to fetch a whopping $2,800,000 to $3,400,000 when the gavel falls.

Utah Corvette Collection is gaining plenty of attention.

Made exclusively for the Japanese market, where only two others were delivered to customers, this Agera RSR was at one time the fastest production car in the world. Thanks to this and other models, Swedish boutique automaker Koenigsegg has won the hearts of enthusiasts around the globe and beat out established names for a number of honors.

At its center is a twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 which is tuned to produce a peak 1,160-horsepower. To keep all that power in check, Koenigsegg engineers added some special aero elements. Among those is a rear spoiler mounted higher, increasing downforce, similar to what you see on the One:1 hypercar. That works in tandem with a roof scoop to help the driver maintain control even under high-speed track maneuvers.

Just like the other two, this Agera RSR was created with bespoke features for the original buyer, who obviously loved a black over black with red accents scheme. Since there is none other like it, documentation of the hypercar’s history should be thorough.

The single owner has shown considerable restraint, only driving this Koenigsegg for 993 kilometers (about 617 miles). In other words, the new owner is essentially getting a factory fresh vehicle. In fact, the original tire pressure gauge, flashlight, warning triangle, and owner’s manual are all being offered with it.

Quite a few would love to own this one-of-three Koenigsegg Agera RSR, hence the lofty estimation for the high bid. The Swedish hypercar is generating considerable interest for RM Sotheby’s Dubai event set for March 9.
