A 2017 Lamborghini Centenario Roadster, one of the most exclusive models in the brand’s history, recently sold for $2.03 million at RM Sotheby’s Dubai auction. This stunning supercar, created to commemorate the 100th birthday of Lamborghini’s founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini, remains a prized collectible among automotive enthusiasts. While the auction price was slightly below the car’s original $2.3 million sticker price, it underscores the enduring appeal of Lamborghini’s limited-edition offerings.
Unveiled at the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in 2016, the Centenario Roadster is a true masterpiece of engineering and design. Lamborghini produced just 20 units of the Roadster variant, making it even rarer than the coupe version. The example sold at the Dubai auction was delivered new to Japan and boasts an ultra-low odometer reading of just over 100 miles, a testament to its collector-grade condition.
This Centenario Roadster is finished in a striking Baloon White exterior, complemented by a Pelle Nero and Nero Alcantara interior. Its minimalist yet luxurious design is a perfect match for the car’s breathtaking performance capabilities. Under the hood lies a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine, borrowed from the Aventador, producing 759 horsepower. Paired with a 7-speed automated manual transmission, the Centenario rockets from 0 to 62 mph in a mere 2.8 seconds and boasts a top speed of 217 mph.
