Bentley has announced that the 2025 Flying Spur will be equipped with the brand’s cutting-edge Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain, marking a significant advancement in the model’s engineering. This innovative powertrain, which debuted in the latest generation Continental GT Speed, combines impressive power with enhanced efficiency.
The upcoming Bentley Flying Spur will be powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, delivering a robust 592 horsepower. Complementing this powerhouse is a 187 horsepower electric motor, resulting in a combined output of 771 horsepower and a staggering 738 lb-ft of torque. This configuration not only surpasses the old W12 engine by nearly 148 horsepower but also provides a notable boost in acceleration, particularly at low and mid-range speeds.
Bentley’s new V8 hybrid powertrain is set to make the Flying Spur the most powerful four-door Bentley ever produced. The electric motor contributes to the car’s dynamic performance, allowing it to run on electric power alone for up to 45 miles, thanks to a substantial battery pack. Additionally, Bentley claims the vehicle will offer an overall range exceeding 500 miles, combining luxury with long-distance capability.
The 2025 Flying Spur’s hybrid system is designed to provide a seamless blend of power and efficiency, ensuring that drivers experience superior performance without compromising on environmental considerations. This new hybrid variant underscores Bentley’s commitment to innovation and sustainability while maintaining the brand’s hallmark of luxury and performance.
As the most powerful iteration of the Flying Spur to date, the introduction of the V8 hybrid powertrain marks a significant milestone for Bentley.
