2025 Porsche 911 Carrera T: A Pure Manual-Only Driving Experience for Enthusiasts

Porsche is turning up the nostalgia dial with the unveiling of its new 2025 911 Carrera T, now exclusively available with a manual transmission. This iteration marks the first time the Carrera T is offered as a cabriolet, adding a wind-in-your-hair option to the lightweight sports car that’s all about performance purity. For Porsche purists and manual enthusiasts, this model will embody the core driving experience the Carrera T has long been known for since its 1968 debut.

The 2025 Carrera T keeps things simple, just as its fans like it. It’s powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six engine, producing 388 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque, all routed through a six-speed manual gearbox. Rear-wheel drive and a manual setup make for an engaging experience, with the coupé achieving 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds and the cabriolet in 4.5 seconds. The Carrera T promises not only speed but also lightweight construction, weighing in at just 3,316 pounds—the lightest in the 992.2 lineup outside of the GT3.

Porsche has kept the aesthetics modest yet distinctive. The Carrera T sports subtle Vanadium Gray Metallic accents on the side mirrors, wheels, and badges. Interior details are equally thoughtful, with unique touches like an open-pore walnut shift knob and “MT” badge. Standard mechanical upgrades include sport suspension with adaptive dampers, a sports exhaust, and upgraded brakes, enhancing the Carrera T’s dynamic handling.

The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera T is available for order now, with pricing starting at $135,995 for the coupé and $149,295 for the cabriolet. Deliveries are expected by summer 2025, just in time for enthusiasts to enjoy the thrill of a manual Porsche during peak driving season.
