The 2025 Porsche Taycan GTS has arrived, bringing more power and keeping the beloved Sport Turismo wagon variant. With an additional 100 horsepower compared to its predecessor, this year’s GTS aims to bridge the gap between power and practicality while still providing an exciting driving experience at a more attainable price point than the Taycan Turbo GT.
The Taycan GTS now delivers 690 horsepower with launch control, thanks to its dual electric motors and a 97 kWh battery pack. This setup propels the GTS from zero-to-60 mph in just 3.1 seconds and through the quarter mile in a swift 11.1 seconds. Porsche, known for conservative performance estimates, hints this could be a 10-second car under optimal conditions, showcasing its capability.
Under normal conditions, the Taycan GTS operates with 596 horsepower, but the Sport Chrono package’s push-to-pass button offers a boost of 96 horsepower in 10-second bursts for those exhilarating highway passes. Porsche’s synthesized audio adds to the driving experience, blending sounds from the Turbo S trim into a futuristic soundtrack that feels both unique and cinematic.
To handle this power, Porsche has equipped the Taycan GTS with larger front brakes, recalibrated adaptive dampers, air springs, and a limited-slip differential. Optional upgrades include Porsche’s fully hydraulic Active Ride suspension and four-wheel steering, but even the base GTS promises impressive handling and stability.
The 2025 Taycan GTS retains the sleek Sport Turismo bodystyle, standing out from the more rugged Cross Turismo with a low-slung, classic wagon design. The Sport Turismo combines Porsche’s iconic long-roof style with electric performance, creating a unique and stylish alternative to SUV-styled EVs. Starting at $149,895 for the sedan and $151,795 for the Sport Turismo, the Taycan GTS may be pricier than rivals like the BMW M5 Touring, but with quicker acceleration and arguably better aesthetics, it makes a compelling case for itself.
With its mix of power, luxury, and versatility, the new Taycan GTS Sport Turismo offers an enticing blend of high-performance EV capability in an elegant, non-clad wagon form, setting a high standard for the segment.
