Audi has unveiled its latest electric marvel, the 2025 RS E-Tron GT Performance, marking a significant milestone as the brand’s most powerful production car to date. This new addition to the E-Tron lineup not only surpasses its predecessors in terms of power but also showcases Audi’s commitment to electric vehicle innovation and performance.
The 2025 RS E-Tron GT Performance headlines a mid-cycle refresh of the E-Tron GT series. This refreshed lineup includes three distinct models: the S E-Tron GT, the RS E-Tron GT, and the range-topping RS E-Tron GT Performance. While the exterior design remains largely unchanged, subtle enhancements like a revised Audi ring logo and a carbon roof add a touch of modern elegance. Exclusive features for the RS E-Tron GT Performance include a smart glass roof, 21-inch six-spoke forged wheels reminiscent of the Avus Quattro concept, and a unique Bedford green finish.
Under the hood, the RS E-Tron GT Performance boasts an upgraded dual-motor powertrain, delivering an astounding 912 horsepower. This makes it not only Audi’s most powerful EV but also the most powerful production car in the brand’s history. With a zero-to-60 mph time of just 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph, the RS E-Tron GT Performance sets new standards for electric vehicle performance. Although it’s still less powerful than the 1,019-hp Porsche Taycan Turbo GT, this model justifies its “Performance” badge with its remarkable specs.
Beyond sheer power, the 2025 E-Tron GT features a lighter and more efficient battery pack. The upgraded battery increases usable capacity from 84 kWh to 97 kWh while reducing weight by 20 pounds. This enhancement extends the vehicle’s range to up to 378 miles on a full charge, based on Europe’s WLTP testing cycle. Additionally, the E-Tron GT’s charging capabilities have been improved, allowing drivers to charge the battery from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes using a DC fast charger.
Inside, the RS E-Tron GT Performance offers a blend of luxury and high-tech features. The cabin retains its spacious and comfortable design but now includes a squared-off steering wheel, enhanced seats, and updated graphics for a modern touch.
Set to go on sale later this year, the new E-Tron GT models will cater to different preferences and budgets. In Europe, the S E-Tron GT starts at €126,000 (approximately $135,300), the RS E-Tron GT at €147,500 (around $158,400), and the RS E-Tron GT Performance at €160,500 (about $172,400). Audi has yet to announce pricing for the U.S. market, but enthusiasts can expect these cutting-edge electric sedans to arrive soon, setting a new benchmark in the automotive world.
