The 1987 Buick GNX, a legendary piece of automotive history, is now available with just 26 miles on the odometer. This particular GNX, #450 out of 547 produced in a single model year, offers a unique opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Stored long-term by its previous owners and carefully maintained by its current owner since 2013, this GNX remains in impeccable condition. The car boasts a turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 engine paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, finished in the iconic black exterior over a two-tone black and Sand Gray interior. Highlighted features include a limited-slip differential, 16-inch cross-lace wheels, composite wheel arch flares, fender vents, a rear spoiler, air conditioning, and cruise control. Currently on dealer consignment, this GNX comes with a clean California title.

The Grand National Experimental (GNX) was the result of a collaboration between Buick and McLaren Performance Technologies/ASC, aimed at celebrating the end of the Grand National’s production run. All 547 GNX models were finished in black, featuring unique cosmetic details such as heat-extracting fender vents, composite wheel arch flares, a three-piece rear spoiler, and GNX badging. Additional exterior details include a rear window defogger, sport mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. The car rides on black-finished factory 16-inch cross-lace wheels with GNX-branded center caps and chrome trim rings, mounted with Goodyear Eagle VR50 tires. Enhanced rear suspension components include a Panhard rod, torque arm, and an additional frame crossmember, while braking is managed by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

Inside, the GNX features black and Sand Gray cloth upholstery, with Turbo 6 embroidery on the front seat headrests. The cabin is equipped with amenities such as a power-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, and a Delco cassette stereo with a graphic equalizer. A plaque mounted on the passenger side of the dashboard identifies this vehicle as GNX #450. The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts GNX-specific Stewart-Warner instrumentation, including a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for boost, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer confirms the ultra-low mileage of 26 miles.

Under the hood, the 3.8-liter V6 engine has been upgraded by ASC/McLaren with a Garrett T3 turbocharger, larger air-to-air intercooler, and a low-restriction exhaust system, delivering a factory-rated output of 276 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was recently performed in preparation for the sale. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 200R4 four-speed automatic transmission with a factory-upgraded oil cooler, and the limited-slip differential features a GNX-branded aluminum cover.
