Known internally as “KK No. 2011,” this Candyapple Red fastback represents one of only 859 Boss 429 Mustangs built in 1969. Ford developed the Boss 429 to homologate its new 429 cubic-inch V-8 engine for NASCAR competition, making the model one of the most desirable Mustangs of the muscle car era.

The car retains its original features, including the semi-hemispherical combustion chamber 429 V-8 fed by a Holley 735 CFM carburetor. Backed by a four-speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter and a 3.91 Traction-Lok differential, the Boss 429 was engineered for both durability and performance. Forged steel internals, aluminum intake manifold, and four-bolt main caps highlight the race-bred powerplant’s robust construction.

A factory hood scoop, matte black chin spoiler, and Magnum 500 wheels wrapped in Goodyear Polyglas GT tires emphasize its aggressive styling. Inside, the car is equipped with black Comfortweave vinyl high-back bucket seats, maintaining the period-correct details that collectors value.

What makes this auction lot especially notable is its charitable designation. Donated outright, the Boss 429 will directly benefit the Tulsa Community Foundation, supporting local programs and initiatives. For bidders, it represents not only a chance to secure one of the most coveted Mustangs ever built, but also to contribute to a cause beyond the auction floor.

The blend of rarity, originality, and philanthropy ensures this Boss 429 will be one of the standout moments of the Indy Fall Special.
