Bentley has revealed its first “Ombré by Mulliner” Collection at Bentley Rancho Mirage, presenting an innovative approach to custom paint design. The collection includes three distinct models—the Continental GT, Continental GTC, and Flying Spur—each featuring a unique gradient finish that transitions smoothly between two colors.

The debut marks Bentley’s first application of the Ombré paint technique to a convertible, showcased through a Continental GTC that fades from Sunburst Gold to Orange Flame. Also included are a Continental GT that blends Topaz into Windsor Blue, and a Flying Spur finished in Tungsten to Onyx. The cars’ interiors mirror these exterior transitions, with cabin materials reflecting the same color shifts from front to rear.

This collection follows Bentley Rancho Mirage’s earlier “Expressions of Texture” commission, reinforcing the dealership’s reputation for pioneering bespoke craftsmanship. Each Ombré vehicle represents an artistic interpretation of California’s natural landscapes—from the red tones of Monument Valley to the deep blues of the Pacific coastline and the muted twilight skies over the desert.

Every car’s 22-inch wheels are finished with coordinated color gradients, while cabin details like stitching, piping, and veneers are executed to match each model’s dual-tone exterior. The intricate paint process, one of Bentley’s most demanding to date, requires approximately 60 hours of hand application by two master specialists at the Bentley Dream Factory in Crewe, England.
The Ombré finish achieves a flawless transition across body panels without introducing a third hue, a challenge requiring precision and artistry. The collection highlights Bentley’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of bespoke design, and the Ombré paint specification is now available through Bentley’s global retailer network.
