The market for Chevrolet’s newest high-performance flagship is showing no signs of cooling, as a nearly untouched 2025 Corvette ZR1 just fetched $290,000 on Bring a Trailer. The sale represents a significant return for the seller, who paid $220,745 for the Jet Black example before opting to flip it. With only five miles on the odometer, the car stands out as one of the cleaner opportunities for collectors aiming to buy early and resell at a premium.
Flipping high-interest vehicles is hardly new, especially in the modern secondary market, where fresh models often command far more than their sticker price. The Bronco and Cybertruck both saw early resellers push values well above MSRP in recent years. The ZR1 now appears to be occupying that same territory thanks to limited supply and the performance numbers attached to Chevrolet’s range-topping Corvette.
The car debuted last year ahead of its 2025 model-year launch and immediately drew attention as the first series-production Corvette equipped with a twin-turbocharged engine. Its mid-mounted, 5.5-liter LT7 V-8 delivers 1,064 hp and 828 ft-lbs of torque, making it the most powerful eight-cylinder the brand had produced at the time. When paired with the ZTK performance package, the coupe can accelerate to 60 mph in 2.3 seconds and reach 233 mph. Early production hiccups have kept numbers low, further driving up demand.
The recently sold example carried several upgrades, including the ZTK package, a carbon-fiber aero kit, and a front-axle lift system. After factoring in Bring a Trailer’s capped fee structure, the seller walked away with roughly $69,000 in profit before costs.
The sale raises the question of how far prices may climb once the even more extreme ZR1X appears in greater numbers. That model, revealed earlier this year, uses a front-axle electric motor to increase total output to 1,250 hp, a setup that helped it set a Nürburgring record for an American-built car.
