Collector Pays $210K for 2025 Corvette ZR1 Launch Edition, Then Sells It for $301K

A 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Convertible 3LZ Launch Edition has already proven its investment potential after an owner purchased the car last October for $210,000 and resold it last week for $301,000. The Rapid Blue convertible carried only delivery miles when it crossed the block, a detail that often draws collectors seeking untouched examples. The premium paid indicates continued enthusiasm for high-spec Corvettes as they increasingly rival traditional European supercars.

The C8-generation ZR1 reflects a shift in Chevrolet’s performance hierarchy, moving far beyond the brand’s earlier reputation for accessible power and less-refined interiors. Modern versions of the Corvette deliver supercar capability, with performance figures that place them in the same conversation as competitors from Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche. For collectors, a Launch Edition with minimal mileage offers both exclusivity and long-term display appeal.

This example features a power-retractable carbon fiber hardtop, LED lighting, quad exhaust outlets, gloss black exterior accents and an array of carbon fiber components including the front splitter, side intakes and skirt extensions. It rides on Carbon Flash-finished forged wheels measuring 20 and 21 inches, paired with Michelin tires, carbon-ceramic brakes and yellow calipers. The car also includes a front-axle lift with memory function and Magnetic Selective Ride Control.

Inside, the ZR1 is trimmed in dual-tone Twilight Blue and Tension Blue leather with carbon fiber accents. Heated and ventilated GT2 bucket seats, dual-zone climate control, cruise control and a 14-speaker Bose audio system contribute to its premium cabin. A serialized Launch Edition badge sits between the seats to denote its limited status.

Performance is supplied by a mid-mounted 5.5-liter twin-turbo LT7 V8 producing 1,064 horsepower and 828 lb-ft of torque, sent to the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Chevrolet lists a 0-60 mph time of 2.3 seconds and a top speed of 233 mph, surpassing figures from some established supercars.
