Porsche Unveils $387,000 911 GT3 Honoring Ferdinand Alexander Porsche

Porsche has unveiled one of the most expensive production 911s it has ever offered, a highly limited collector model priced at $387,000 before options. Known as the 2027 Porsche 911 GT3 90 F.A. Porsche, the car serves as a tribute to Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, the influential designer and grandson of company founder Ferdinand Porsche.

The new model commemorates what would have been Ferdinand Alexander Porsche’s 90th birthday on Dec. 11, 2026. Often referred to as F.A. Porsche, he played a pivotal role in shaping the brand’s design language and broader creative direction. His legacy now forms the foundation of this exclusive 911, which Porsche positions as both a performance machine and a rolling design statement.

Production will be limited to just 90 examples worldwide. Each buyer will participate in an individualized, one-on-one personalization program, a level of customization typically reserved for Porsche’s most exclusive offerings. Production is scheduled to begin in mid-2026, with one of the 90 cars earmarked for F.A. Porsche’s son, Mark.

The collector car is based on the 911 GT3 with the Touring Package. Power comes from a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine producing 502 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque. Buyers may choose between a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The Touring configuration replaces the GT3’s fixed rear wing with a subtler adaptive rear spoiler.

Design inspiration comes from a G-body 911 driven by F.A. Porsche in the 1980s. The car wears an exclusive F.A. Green metallic paint, referencing Oak Green metallic used on his personal vehicle. Additional exterior details include Satin Black Sport Classic wheels, center-lock hubs featuring a 1963-style Porsche crest, and a gold “90 F.A. Porsche” plaque on the rear decklid grille.

Inside, the cabin reflects F.A. Porsche’s personal aesthetic. Truffle Brown Club Leather is paired with Limestone stitching and grid-pattern seat inserts inspired by a jacket he frequently wore. The interior also features a Sport Chrono clock referencing the original Chronograph 1, an open-pore wood shift knob, signature plaques, and bespoke dashboard trim. Each buyer will also receive a special titanium-cased Porsche Design Chronograph 1 wristwatch customized for the project.

Ferdinand Alexander Porsche was born in 1935 and joined Porsche as a design intern in 1957. He later led the creation of landmark vehicles including the 904 Carrera GTS, the 804 Formula One car, and the original 901, which became the 911. In 1972, he co-founded Porsche Design, producing iconic objects such as the Chronograph 1 watch and P’8478 sunglasses.

With limited production, extensive personalization, and historical significance, the 911 GT3 90 F.A. Porsche stands as one of the most exclusive and expensive 911s ever built, reinforcing the brand’s connection to its design heritage in an era increasingly shaped by electrification.
