A rare opportunity has emerged for collectors seeking an unconventional Lamborghini-focused pairing, as a Lamborghini-powered Formula One car and a matching Countach are now being offered together as a single collection. Known as the Camel Collection, the two-vehicle set is being offered for sale by Furlonger Specialist Cars.

While the sales listing itself provides few details and does not include pricing, additional information sheds light on the significance of both vehicles. At the center of the collection is a 1990 Lamborghini-Lotus Type 102 Formula One car, chassis number two. The car competed across three seasons and was driven by Derek Warwick, Martin Donnelly, and Johnny Herbert, accumulating a total of 37 race starts.
The Type 102 holds a unique place in Formula One history as the only Lotus F1 car powered by a V-12 engine. Its 3.5-liter Lamborghini-built V-12 produced 640 horsepower, setting it apart from its contemporaries. After its final race appearance, the car spent decades in a private collection before undergoing a complete mechanical restoration and recommissioning. That work was carried out at the Lamborghini factory by Polo Storico, returning the car to operational condition. The restored car also appears in the opening scene of the 2025 film F1: The Movie.

Paired with the Formula One car is a 1985 Lamborghini Countach 5000 QV, chassis number FLA12848. The car was originally specified in Giallo over Naturale and equipped with the optional rear wing. It remained with the same owner from 1995 until being acquired by Furlonger Specialist Cars.
Following its acquisition, the Countach received a comprehensive mechanical recommissioning and an extensive cosmetic refresh performed by Furlonger. The work included a fresh application of Giallo paint. During the process, the car was visually reimagined to mirror the appearance of the Lotus F1 car, receiving period-style sponsorship decals and black wheels. The original wheels are included with the sale, and the decals can be removed if desired.

Together, the two vehicles create an unusual but historically linked pairing that blends Lamborghini’s road car legacy with its brief but memorable involvement in Formula One. Offered as a complete set, the Camel Collection represents a distinctive moment in automotive and motorsport history.
