Rotisserie-Restored 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 Convertible Heads to GAA Auction

A fully documented and rotisserie-restored 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 Convertible is scheduled to cross the block at GAA Classic Car Auctions during its February 2026 event. The car, VIN 344679M166632, will run on Saturday and represents a top-tier example of Oldsmobile’s high-performance muscle blended with open-top luxury.

Finished in Ebony Black, the convertible retains its original trim tag showing Code 10 B, paired with a factory black power top. The interior is trimmed in red bucket seats, identified by Code 935, creating a high-contrast color combination that remains one of the most striking offered in 1969. The body is described as retaining original sheet metal, an important consideration for collectors focused on authenticity.

Power comes from a matching-numbers 400-cubic-inch V8, backed by a Muncie M-20 four-speed manual transmission and an SE-series rear axle. The drivetrain configuration reflects the performance intent of the 442 package while maintaining factory correctness. Numerous original components remain in place, including the Hurst four-speed shifter, Harrison radiator, distributor, and carburetor.

The car underwent a rotisserie restoration, returning it to a level of presentation suitable for concours display while preserving factory details throughout. Equipment highlights include factory air conditioning, power steering, and power brakes, blending muscle-car performance with comfort-oriented features that were optional at the time.

Inside, the Cutlass is equipped with a full console, factory tachometer and gauges, hood and trunk lights, and an AM/FM stereo with reverb and rear speaker. Additional details include a power antenna, LOF-dated tinted glass, spiral shocks, and T3 headlights.

Rolling stock consists of Hurst wheels wrapped in bias-ply redline tires, further reinforcing the car’s period-correct presentation. Correct battery, spare tire, and jack are also included, underscoring the attention to detail throughout the restoration.

As one of the most refined muscle convertibles of its era, the 1969 Oldsmobile 442 continues to attract collectors seeking both performance and luxury. With its matching-numbers drivetrain, extensive original components, documented restoration, and desirable color combination, this example is positioned to draw strong interest when it crosses the auction stage at GAA Classic Car Auctions in February 2026.
