Low-Mileage 1991 Ford Mustang GT Convertible Draws Bids at No Reserve on Bring a Trailer

A well-preserved 1991 Ford Mustang GT convertible with just 24,000 kilometers on the odometer is drawing attention as it heads to auction at no reserve.

The triple-white Fox-body Mustang, currently bid to $16,000 with three days remaining, was built at Ford’s Dearborn, Michigan, assembly plant and originally delivered to Lacombe Ford in Alberta, Canada. The car has remained in Alberta under two registered owners before making its way to Arizona, where it is now being offered by a selling dealer with a clean Washington title.

Finished in Oxford White with a matching white convertible soft top, top boot, and bodyside moldings, the car presents a monochromatic look emblematic of early 1990s styling trends. Exterior details include GT-specific bodywork, integrated fog lights, power-adjustable side mirrors, a fixed antenna, and a rear luggage rack. It rides on 16-inch Pony alloy wheels fitted with BFGoodrich tires.

Under the hood sits Ford’s 302-cubic-inch V8, factory rated at 225 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a Traction-Lok rear axle with 2.73:1 gearing. The Mustang came equipped with the Handling Suspension Package, which added variable-rate springs, a Quadra-Shock rear setup, and power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering. Braking is handled by front power-assisted discs and rear drums.

Inside, articulated front sport seats and a rear bench are upholstered in white leather. The cabin features power windows and locks, cruise control, R134a-based air conditioning, and a premium sound system with an AM/FM/cassette stereo. A Pioneer CDX-FM45 CD changer is mounted in the trunk. The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 230-km/h speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,800-rpm redline.

The sale includes a Deluxe Marti Report detailing the March 11, 1991 build date, factory specifications, and production statistics, along with the owner’s manual, original purchase documents, and a clean Carfax report showing no accidents or damage. See it here.
