A breathtaking blend of Italian design and American muscle, the 2010 Alfa Romeo Zagato TZ3 Stradale—one of just nine ever produced—is now up for sale through Young Motorcars, offering collectors a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own one of Alfa Romeo’s rarest modern creations.
Commissioned to celebrate Alfa Romeo’s 100th anniversary, the TZ3 Stradale debuted at the prestigious Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in 2010. The car was built by legendary coachbuilder Zagato and designed as a tribute to the original Giulia TZ models of the 1960s. Underneath its sculpted carbon fiber skin, however, beats the heart of a very different beast: the 8.4-liter V-10 from the Dodge Viper ACR-X.
With 600 horsepower and 580 lb-ft of torque, the odd-firing V10 delivers blistering performance through a six-speed Tremec manual transmission, propelling the car from 0 to 60 mph in just over three seconds and reaching speeds in excess of 200 mph.
This particular example, finished in Dark Blue Metallic over a Caramel leather interior, has traveled just 1,863 miles since new and remains in near showroom condition. Originally priced over $1 million, it is now listed at $675,000—a relative bargain for a car of such rarity and performance pedigree.
Built on the Viper ACR-X platform, the TZ3 Stradale features lightweight construction, combining a carbon fiber frame with aluminum body panels. The result is a curb weight of approximately 1,874 pounds, giving the car a remarkable power-to-weight ratio.
Though Alfa Romeo and Dodge may seem like an unlikely pairing, both brands fall under the Stellantis umbrella, enabling this unlikely but unforgettable collaboration. Of the two TZ3 variants produced—one track-only Corsa and nine road-going Stradales—this is among the few that have come up for public sale.
