Alpine has unveiled its latest creation, the A110 R Ultime, a limited-edition sports car that pushes the boundaries of the brand’s celebrated A110 platform. Showcased at the Paris Motor Show alongside other Alpine concepts, including the A390_β and Alpenglow HY6, the A110 R Ultime stands out as the most aggressive road-legal Alpine ever produced.
Designed with a focus on aerodynamics and track performance, the A110 R Ultime comes equipped with an array of enhancements to improve downforce and stability. Key aerodynamic elements include a new front splitter, extended side skirts, a large rear diffuser, and a top-mounted rear wing with imposing end plates. Alpine claims these modifications generate over 160 kg of downforce at the car’s top speed, giving the A110 R Ultime a significant edge over its predecessors.
Alpine offers extensive customization options for the A110 R Ultime, allowing buyers to personalize both the exterior and interior. The car is available in 27 exterior colors, while the cabin can be tailored with up to nine Alcantara upholstery combinations and 10 leather options. These bespoke touches ensure that each of the 110 units produced is truly unique.
The A110 R Ultime is powered by a 1.8-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, now tuned to deliver 345 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 310 lb-ft of torque. Compared to the A110 R Turini, the Ultime benefits from a modified turbocharger and an upgraded DW6 gearbox for quicker shifts and improved performance. The car can sprint from 0-62 mph in just 3.8 seconds.
To further enhance its handling, the A110 R Ultime is fitted with Ohlins adjustable dampers and AP Racing brakes equipped with high-performance brake pads and cooling ducts. An Akrapovic exhaust adds a resonant note to the driving experience, while 19-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin PS2 Cup tires ensure maximum grip.
As Alpine’s ultimate expression of the A110, production of the A110 R Ultime is limited to just 110 units. Prices for this exclusive model start at €265,000, including VAT, making it a coveted collector’s item for enthusiasts who seek performance with exclusivity.
