Aston Martin is set to revive the iconic Vanquish nameplate in 2025, and the British luxury automaker has been dropping hints that the upcoming model will be a force to be reckoned with. The latest teaser confirms that the new Vanquish will pack a potent 824-horsepower punch, courtesy of a redesigned 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine.

The Vanquish name carries a storied legacy, having first debuted in 2001 with a V12-powered grand tourer that gained fame as James Bond’s car of choice in Die Another Day. That model marked a significant evolution for Aston Martin, introducing a bonded aluminum composite chassis with a carbon-fiber backbone. The nameplate was revived once more in the 2010s, underpinned by the third generation of Aston Martin’s VH (Vertical Horizontal) platform.

Now, the Vanquish is set to return, and it will be unlike any of its predecessors. Aston Martin has confirmed that the 2025 Vanquish will utilize a heavily re-engineered version of the 5.2L twin-turbo V12 found in the DB11 and Vantage models, specifically tuned for the new Vanquish. This engine upgrade is a clear signal that Aston Martin intends to compete fiercely in the high-performance luxury segment.

The teaser campaign for the 2025 Vanquish began in May 2024 with a cryptic press release ending with the phrase “All will be vanquished,” a clear nod to the model’s name. More recently, Aston Martin shared a teaser image on social media, stoking excitement and speculation about the car’s imminent unveiling. While the exact date remains under wraps, it’s widely expected that the new Vanquish will debut by the end of 2024, with deliveries slated to begin in the first half of 2025.

Visually, the 2025 Vanquish will build on the design language introduced with the DB12, Aston Martin’s latest grand tourer. Expect a more aggressive front grille, revised taillights, and a quartet of exhaust outlets that hint at the car’s performance capabilities.

With 824 horsepower under the hood, the 2025 Aston Martin Vanquish is poised to be a game-changer for the brand, blending cutting-edge technology with the timeless elegance and power that the Vanquish name represents.
