Aston Martin has revived its legendary Vanquish, making a stunning debut at the Venice International Film Festival in September 2024. This third-generation Vanquish, revealed in spectacular fashion on the Venetian Lagoon, marks the return of the iconic super GT sports car after it vanished from production in 2018. The new Vanquish is limited to fewer than 1,000 units annually and boasts a bold design, a powerful V12 engine, and cutting-edge technology.

Among the notable attendees at the world premiere were Hollywood stars George Clooney, Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Douglas, Adrien Brody, and Daniel Craig, the latter of whom played James Bond, further cementing Aston Martin’s connection to the secret agent film franchise. The Vanquish has long held a special place in popular culture, having appeared in Die Another Day, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, and The Italian Job in the early 2000s.

The new Vanquish, described as Aston Martin’s halo model, is powered by a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine that delivers a staggering 835 PS (823 hp) and 1,000 Nm of torque. With a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint time of 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 344 km/h (214 mph), it is the fastest series-production car ever produced by Aston Martin. This model embodies Aston Martin’s mission to combine ultra-luxury with top-tier performance.

Designed with an emphasis on both elegance and power, the Vanquish’s exterior features a sleek, elongated bonnet and a bold new front bumper, fender, and grille. The rear design, with its broad haunches and dramatic Kamm Tail, showcases the car’s aerodynamic prowess. Inside, the cabin blends state-of-the-art technology with luxurious materials, creating an environment fit for a true driver’s car.

The new Vanquish represents Aston Martin’s dedication to preserving its V12 legacy under the leadership of billionaire Lawrence Stroll, who acquired the company in 2020. As Aston Martin’s Chief Technical Officer Roberto Fedeli explains, the new Vanquish delivers unmatched performance in its category while maintaining a sense of British-cool elegance.
