BMW M Motorsport is expanding its customer racing offerings with the development of a new entry-level racing car set to debut in the 2026 season. This new model aims to serve as an accessible yet technically advanced option for aspiring racers and teams looking to step into the competitive world of motorsport.

Following the success of the BMW M235i Racing, BMW M240i Racing, and BMW M2 CS Racing, the new car will build upon BMW’s tradition of providing affordable entry points into racing. These previous models have served as essential stepping stones for drivers advancing to higher GT4 and GT3 categories, and the upcoming model is expected to continue this legacy.

Björn Lellmann, Head of Customer Racing at BMW M Motorsport, highlighted the importance of maintaining close ties with customers and providing vehicles that meet their needs for grassroots racing. “Proximity to our customers is one of the maxims we pursue at BMW M Motorsport,” Lellmann stated. “From our point of view, this also includes offering a car for grassroots racing that teams and newcomers to racing can afford and that at the same time offers them BMW M Motorsport technology at the highest level.”
