A 24-year-old influencer known for flaunting his collection of exotic cars has wrecked one of the most expensive vehicles in his garage. Alex Gonzales, better known online as fxalexg, has officially totaled his $4 million Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport, a track-focused hypercar capable of nearly 1,500 horsepower.
The crash heavily damaged the car’s front end, with the impact strong enough to trigger the airbags. Gonzales’ insurance provider has deemed the car a total loss, setting the stage for its appearance at a salvage auction. Despite the extensive damage, the drivetrain may still be intact, which could push bidding into the $800,000 range. Previous wrecked Bugattis have sold anywhere from $500,000 to over $1 million depending on condition.
The accident is the latest twist in the car’s brief but controversial history. Earlier this year, Gonzales drew backlash after posting a video of himself standing on the carbon-fiber rear wing of the Pur Sport, damaging a component worth hundreds of thousands of dollars to replace.
The Chiron Pur Sport represents one of Bugatti’s rarest and most extreme offerings. It features a fixed rear wing, stiffer suspension, and aggressive aerodynamics tailored for circuit use. Its 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 produces 1,479 horsepower and launches the car from zero to 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds. Gonzales had his example wrapped in a custom purple shade inspired by Lamborghini’s Viola Parsifae.
Gonzales has cultivated a rags-to-riches image, going from service jobs to high-stakes Forex trading before building a garage worth millions. Alongside the now-destroyed Chiron, he owns multiple Lamborghinis, McLarens, and another Bugatti—one recently in the news for needing a $36,000 battery replacement.
For fans, the wreck represents a rare chance to buy a damaged but famous hypercar. For Gonzales, it’s just another chapter in a high-speed lifestyle that continues to attract attention both online and off.
