Bugatti has revealed a unique hypercar created to honor Dr. Ferdinand Karl Piëch, the engineer and former Volkswagen Group leader widely credited with conceiving the groundbreaking Veyron. The one-off model, called the Bugatti FKP Hommage, commemorates the vision that helped shape the modern hypercar landscape two decades ago.

About 20 years ago, Piëch envisioned a revolutionary supercar that would surpass existing performance standards and redefine the limits of road-going vehicles. That ambition ultimately produced the Bugatti Veyron, a machine that established an entirely new segment in the automotive world and set multiple benchmarks for speed and engineering.
The newly unveiled FKP Hommage pays tribute to that legacy through Bugatti’s exclusive Solitaire program, which focuses on highly customized, one-of-a-kind creations. The car’s design draws strong inspiration from the original Veyron 16.4 while integrating elements from Bugatti’s more recent models.
Visually, the hypercar echoes the recognizable silhouette of the Veyron with smooth body surfaces and a familiar stance. At the front, a sculpted three-dimensional horseshoe grille stands out as a centerpiece. The grille is machined from a single block of aluminum, giving it a distinctive and precise appearance. Horizontal headlight units further reference the styling of the earlier hypercar, while the rear features four circular LED taillights that continue the theme.

The polished wheels also carry a design language reminiscent of the Veyron, reinforcing the connection between the historic model and the commemorative vehicle.
Inside the cabin, Bugatti introduces a different approach compared with the Veyron’s original cream-colored interior. The FKP Hommage uses brown upholstery throughout the cockpit, creating a warmer and more contemporary atmosphere. The dashboard is newly designed but clearly inspired by the layout and aesthetic of the Veyron.
One of the most notable features inside the vehicle is the integration of a 41-millimeter Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon timepiece directly into the dashboard, combining high-end watchmaking with automotive craftsmanship.
While the design pays homage to the Veyron, the mechanical foundation of the car comes from Bugatti’s newer generation of hypercars. The FKP Hommage is based on the Chiron platform and is powered by the latest version of Bugatti’s 8.0-liter W16 engine. The powertrain delivers an output of 1,600 horsepower, placing the one-off creation firmly among the most powerful road cars ever produced.
The project serves as both a technical showcase and a tribute to the man whose ambition helped redefine the possibilities of high-performance automobiles.
