In celebration of its storied racing legacy, Cadillac has introduced the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing Le Monstre Edition. This limited edition pays homage to the brand’s participation in the 1950 24 Hours of Le Mans, launching just in time for the 101st edition of the endurance race at the Circuit de la Sarthe. Alongside this model, Cadillac has also revealed the CT4-V Blackwing Petit Pataud.

The 2025 CT5-V Blackwing Le Monstre Edition draws inspiration from the heavily modified 1950 Cadillac Series 61, known as “Le Monstre,” which means “The Monster” in French. This original vehicle was renowned for its wedge-shaped design and powerful 331-cubic-inch V8 engine, which produced 160 horsepower and reached speeds of up to 130 mph during the grueling 24-hour race.

The modern Le Monstre Edition features distinctive design elements that harken back to its historic predecessor. The number 2, which adorned the original 1950 racer, is prominently displayed on the new model’s doors, gear shifter knob, and door sill plates. The vehicle is finished in a striking Magnus Metal Frost paint with Stormhawk Blue carbon fiber accents and Royal Blue brake calipers, creating a visually stunning tribute to Cadillac’s racing past.

Inside, the Le Monstre Edition offers a choice between Jet Black/Phantom Blue and Sky Cool Gray/Phantom Blue interiors, complemented by Santorini accents and blue seat belts. The number 2 is also stitched into the backrest, emphasizing the car’s racing heritage. A 33-inch screen integrates the digital instrument cluster and infotainment display, ensuring that the vehicle is as advanced as it is stylish.

Under the hood, the CT5-V Blackwing Le Monstre Edition retains the powerful 6.2-liter V8 engine found in the standard CT5-V Blackwing. This engine delivers an impressive 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque, maintaining the high performance that enthusiasts expect from Cadillac. Production of this limited edition model is set to begin in early 2025, with only 101 units to be produced, honoring the 101st edition of Le Mans.

The CT4-V Blackwing Petit Pataud, named after the other 1950 Le Mans entry, features a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 engine generating 472 horsepower. With only 50 units to be produced, this model starts at $63,590, offering a more accessible yet equally special option for enthusiasts.

The CT5-V Blackwing Le Monstre Edition will be priced around $95,000, providing a unique opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts to own a piece of Cadillac’s racing history.
