For connoisseurs of high-performance luxury automobiles, the 2018 Bugatti Chiron stands out as an epitome of power, precision, and unmatched opulence. However, the Bugatti Chiron set to cross the Barrett-Jackson auction block at the 2024 Scottsdale Fall Auction, from October 10-13, is far from ordinary. This particular Chiron boasts the esteemed ownership of Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, the undisputed Super Middleweight boxing champion of the world.

Canelo, with an illustrious boxing record of 61 wins, two losses, and two draws, has reigned supreme across four weight divisions: super middleweight, junior middleweight, middleweight, and light heavyweight. His dominance in the ring is paralleled by his exquisite taste in automobiles, a fact evidenced by his meticulously maintained 2018 Bugatti Chiron. With only 1,610 miles on the odometer, this Chiron has been cared for with the highest standards, with all services performed by Bugatti of San Diego.

At the heart of this automotive marvel is an 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine, producing a staggering 1,479 horsepower and 1,180 lb-ft of torque. This immense power, channeled through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, propels the Chiron from 0 to 60 mph in under 2.5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 261 mph. The car’s all-wheel-drive system, enhanced by BorgWarner torque transfer differentials, ensures impeccable handling and stability, making it a champion in both straight-line speed and cornering prowess.

The Chiron’s design features a carbon-fiber monocoque structure, combining strength with lightweight performance. Its sophisticated hydraulic system adapts to various driving conditions, while the launch control and Electronic Stability Program with traction control optimize performance across different scenarios. Carbon-silica disc brakes and an airbrake-equipped rear wing further enhance the Chiron’s aerodynamic efficiency and stopping power.

Inside, the Chiron’s cabin exudes luxury, adorned in Lake Blue and French Racing Blue with carbon-fiber accents. The Comfort Seats, featuring special leather and carbon interiors, add a $93,000 premium. Technological amenities include a 7-speaker 3D stereo from Accuton, navigation, Sirius radio, Bluetooth connectivity, and automatic climate control.

The exterior of this bespoke Chiron features unique paint colors from Standox Company, with the front in French Racing Blue transitioning to Atlantic Blue at the rear. The Caractère wheels, a $62,000 option, are complemented by French Racing Blue brake calipers. Additional details like the painted underside of the rear wing, painted front grille horseshoe, and gray carbon-fiber wing mirrors complete the striking visual package. These options pushed the car’s MSRP to just under $3.2 million.

Exclusivity defines the Chiron, with only 500 units handcrafted in Bugatti’s atelier in Molsheim, France. This combination of extreme performance and luxury makes the Chiron a highly coveted vehicle among automotive enthusiasts. The ownership by Canelo Alvarez, a legendary boxer, further elevates its allure.

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez’s 2018 Bugatti Chiron will be offered at the 2024 Scottsdale Fall Auction, a unique chance to own a vehicle that epitomizes automotive excellence and boasts the distinguished ownership of a world-renowned fighter.
