Classic Cars Headline Intermountain Online Classic Car Auction

Classic car collectors will have a rare opportunity to bid on three exceptional vintage automobiles at the 6th Annual Intermountain Online Classic Car Auction. Featuring a meticulously restored 1936 Ford Deluxe Cabriolet, a striking custom-built 1929 Ford Cabriolet by Welderup Garage, and a well-preserved 1938 Hudson Terraplane, this auction promises to attract enthusiasts from across the country.

Leading the auction is the 1936 Ford Deluxe Cabriolet Model 68, an outstanding example of pre-war craftsmanship. Sporting a factory-correct body-off restoration, the vehicle retains its L-head V8 engine and a three-speed manual transmission. The black exterior is complemented by a brown LeBaron Bonney leather interior, with wood grain detailing on the dash and door panel tops, finished using original factory techniques. While the older restoration shows minor paint cracking, this Cabriolet remains a highly desirable piece with fewer than 500 miles on its rebuilt engine.

Also hitting the auction block is the one-of-a-kind 1929 Ford Cabriolet, better known as the “Ace of Spades.” Built by Steve Darnell and his team at Welderup Garage, as seen on the television show Vegas Rat Rods, this custom hot rod boasts a 350 small-block Chevy engine, a Weiand 471 blower, and straight pipes for an aggressive performance. Additional features include a channeled frame with a four-link suspension and rear air ride, Wilwood disc brakes, and a quick-change rear end, making it a standout for collectors of custom builds.

Completing the trio is a beautifully restored 1938 Hudson Terraplane, a model known for its combination of power and affordability. This two-door coupe features a 212-cubic-inch flathead six-cylinder engine and a three-speed manual transmission. The car retains its factory-original swivel front seat and a complete tool set in the trunk, while its reupholstered interior showcases period-correct materials.

With each of these classic cars offering a unique glimpse into automotive history, bidders will have the chance to take home a piece of the past at this highly anticipated online auction.
