Engler Automotive, a boutique performance brand best known for creating a 1,200-horsepower quad bike, has revealed its latest—and boldest—project: a roofless supercar called the Mosslr, with pricing starting at $900,000 and production capped at just 75 units.

Unveiled through a series of striking renderings, the Mosslr is Engler’s tribute to the legendary Mercedes SLR Stirling Moss, a 2009 limited-run roadster named after the iconic British racing driver. True to its inspiration, the Mosslr features no roof or windshield—only a modest wind deflector—evoking the raw, open-air thrill of classic motorsport design.
The vehicle’s body is aggressively sculpted, with flared wheel arches, side-exit exhausts, and razor-sharp LED lighting. At the rear, flying buttresses rise behind the seats, flowing into a curved light bar and deep diffuser, signaling serious aerodynamic intent.
Under the skin, the Mosslr will be available with three different powertrain options:
- A 740-horsepower V8, reaching 200 mph
- A 986-horsepower V8, capable of 217 mph
- And an 838-horsepower V12, designed to emphasize torque and old-school character over peak output.
All variants are rear-wheel drive and paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, promising a balance between raw performance and modern control. Engler has not released interior images, but promises a cabin lined in high-end leather, likely continuing the company’s unconventional and attention-grabbing approach to design.

Engler is now accepting refundable €20,000 deposits (approximately $22,800), with the first unit expected to be completed in six to nine months. Production will proceed slowly—at just two to three cars per month—making each Mosslr a bespoke, high-performance rarity.
While questions remain about road legality and regulatory approval, the Mosslr signals Engler’s audacious entry into hypercar territory—offering AMG-level madness with a distinctly independent spirit.
