European Icons Lead Lucky Collector Car Auctions Spring Classic 2025

The Lucky Collector Car Auctions Spring Classic 2025 is set to showcase an extraordinary trio of European automotive craftsmanship, with a 1957 Lancia Aurelia B20 Coupe, a 1980 Maserati Quattroporte Series III, and a 1975 Lamborghini Espada Series III leading the lineup. Each car represents a unique era of Italian performance and elegance, with provenance and condition to match.

Lot #185 – 1957 Lancia Aurelia B20 Coupe

Regarded as one of the most innovative post-war cars, the Lancia Aurelia B20 Coupe remains a symbol of mid-century engineering brilliance. This sixth-series 1957 model features the first production aluminum V6 engine and rear transaxle layout for near-perfect weight distribution. Revered for its motorsport success, including podium finishes at the Mille Miglia, this example is notable for its originality and completeness. Still wearing its black leather interior, it shows minimal signs of aging and, although stored long-term, the V6 is reported to be running. Some mechanical reconditioning will be needed to return it to full roadworthiness.

Lot #151 – 1980 Maserati Quattroporte Series III

Finished in Blu Malago with a tan leather interior, this Maserati Quattroporte III is one of just over 2,100 examples built and reflects Giorgetto Giugiaro’s bold design ethos. Powered by a 4.9L DOHC V8 with four Weber carburetors, the Quattroporte III was the brand’s return to form following the Citroën era. Recently serviced with over $10,000 in maintenance, this example comes from a respected Italian car collection and remains in exceptional cosmetic condition.

Lot #168 – 1975 Lamborghini Espada Series III

This Series III Lamborghini Espada, one of only 456 built, carries an impressive pedigree, including a past ownership by former Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah. Restored by Lamborghini’s own Centro di Restauro in 2003, the Oro Metallizzato paint and Dijon leather interior remain in outstanding condition. Powered by a numbers-matching 3.9L V12 paired with a Torqueflite automatic, the car offers luxury GT capability for four passengers with signature Bertone styling.

These exciting Italians are being sold at the Spring Classic 2025 Auto Auction taking place Saturday, May 31, and Sunday, Jun 1 at the LeMay Marymount Event Center.
