In a stunning theft ahead of a scheduled track day event, thieves in Norfolk, England made off with five high-end sports cars, including a Lamborghini Huracan and an Audi R8, valued at approximately $600,000. The vehicles, owned by British company Car Chase Heroes, were stolen from Tibenham Airfield during the early morning hours of September 28.
The stolen cars include a gold Audi R8, a red Lamborghini Huracan, a black-and-yellow Mercedes-AMG GT, a blue-and-white VW Golf Clubsport, and a white Porsche Cayman. According to local news outlet Eastern Day Press, the total value of the stolen vehicles is estimated at £450,000.
The theft occurred between midnight and 4 a.m., with the culprits reportedly breaking into a key safe at the airfield to access the vehicles. Car Chase Heroes spokesperson Nik Coleman confirmed that the keys to the cars had also been taken, forcing the cancellation of the planned track day event.
Residents in the nearby village reported seeing and hearing the stolen vehicles being driven through the streets. Some even captured footage, with videos of the Lamborghini Huracan and Mercedes-AMG GT allegedly being shared on social media. Norfolk Constabulary is currently investigating the incident and has appealed for anyone with information, including those who may have seen the cars or recognized the people in the videos, to come forward.
This daring theft has left Car Chase Heroes and attendees disappointed, with the stolen vehicles representing a significant loss for the company. As the investigation unfolds, police are hopeful that the community’s assistance can lead to the recovery of these luxury cars.
