A close call involving a Ferrari Daytona SP3 and a valet highlighted the chaotic atmosphere during the recent Formula 1 weekend in Monaco. The incident occurred in the bustling Casino Square, a hotspot for supercars and elite gatherings during the race festivities.

Monaco’s Formula 1 weekend is renowned not just for the race, but also for the extravagant parties and gatherings it attracts. Luxury yachts line the harbor, hosting private events, while high-end hotels are filled with celebrities and the global elite. Among the crowd and spectacle, the streets are packed with some of the world’s most expensive and exclusive cars.

In one such instance, a Ferrari Daytona SP3 almost ran over a valet in Casino Square. According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the Ferrari appeared unaware of the valet’s presence as the car rolled perilously close to the individual. Fortunately, the valet managed to avoid injury, but the near-miss serves as a stark reminder of the potential hazards in such a crowded and high-octane environment.

The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is a rare and powerful machine, adding to the drama of the incident. Based on the LaFerrari Aperta, the Daytona SP3 features a mid-mounted 6.5-liter V12 engine from the 812 Competizione, delivering an impressive 850 horsepower. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, making it one of the most formidable supercars on the road.

The presence of multiple Daytona SP3s in Monaco during the event was notable. Among the owners is Charles Leclerc, the 2024 Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix winner and local hero. Leclerc’s ownership of the V12 supercar highlights the model’s appeal to those at the pinnacle of motorsport.

The incident underscores the excitement and unpredictability of Monaco’s race weekend, where the streets are not just a backdrop for the race but also a stage for automotive spectacle and occasional mishaps.
