Ferrari added two more accolades to its long-running record of industry recognition after securing major wins at the TG Awards 2026 in London. The company’s latest flagship models, the F80 and the 296 Speciale, were named Hypercar of the Year and Supercar of the Year, respectively, extending Ferrari’s streak to 21 Top Gear honors over 23 years. The brand also claimed its eighth Supercar of the Year title with the 296 Speciale’s victory.
Both awards underscore Ferrari’s continued push to redefine high-performance engineering. The F80, limited to 799 units, represents the company’s newest entry in the lineage of its most celebrated supercars. It follows icons such as the GTO, F40 and LaFerrari while introducing technology rooted in the brand’s Formula 1 and endurance racing programs. The hybrid powertrain delivers 1,200 cv, split between 900 cv from a Le Mans-proven three-liter V6 and another 300 cv from an 800-volt hybrid system. The setup incorporates e-turbos designed to eliminate lag by capturing energy from turbo rotation, and the car generates 1,050 kilograms of downforce at 250 km/h. Features such as an active rear wing, advanced active suspension and a driver-focused asymmetrical cockpit reinforce its track-centered mission.

Alongside it, the 296 Speciale builds on the mid-engine platform established by the 296 GTB, advancing the powertrain and aerodynamics to create a more extreme evolution of the model. Its plug-in hybrid system produces a combined 880 cv through a twin-turbo V6 paired with an electric motor. Weight reduction, stronger components derived from Formula 1 and quicker shifts from the optimized eight-speed DCT contribute to sharper performance. Ferrari also increased downforce by 20 percent compared to the GTB, aided by elements such as suspended splitters, an enlarged diffuser and distinctive rear gamma wings.
With both cars setting new technical benchmarks for the brand, Ferrari enters the next model year with strengthened momentum and two of the industry’s most prominent awards added to its growing list.
