Ferrari has officially introduced the 296 Speciale, a high-performance evolution of its celebrated 296 GTB, boasting 880 horsepower and redefining what’s possible from a hybrid supercar. Designed as a limited-production model, the 296 Speciale blends Formula 1-inspired electrification with aggressive aerodynamics—and it’s already sold out.

Built as both a coupe and open-top variant, the 296 Speciale raises the bar with extensive aerodynamic enhancements, including a suspended front splitter, sculpted carbon fiber keels, and a trio of front louvers. One of the most striking additions is the twin side wings at the rear, designed to maximize downforce and reduce drag while boosting cooling performance.
Under the bodywork, Ferrari engineers have reworked the 296’s 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine to produce even more power, thanks to increased combustion chamber pressure, titanium hardware, and lightweight machining. This is paired with an F1-derived MGU-K electric motor, delivering immediate torque and enabling brief all-electric driving for up to 15 miles.

Together, the hybrid powertrain launches the 296 Speciale from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds, with top speeds exceeding 205 mph. Enhancing the package are new forged wheels, influenced by Ferrari’s F80 hypercar, with a dark, diamond-cut finish and reduced unsprung weight for better handling.
Inside and out, the Speciale is a refined showcase of Ferrari’s commitment to performance, efficiency, and driver engagement in the electric age. Despite its $400,000+ estimated price tag, every unit of the 296 Speciale has already been claimed by eager collectors.
The 296 Speciale marks a turning point not just for Ferrari, but for the supercar world—proving that electrification and pure driving passion can, indeed, coexist at the highest level.
