After years of hybrid innovation, Ferrari has confirmed it will officially unveil its first all-electric vehicle next spring, with sales expected to begin by October 2026, according to CEO Benedetto Vigna.
During the company’s first-quarter earnings call, Vigna announced that Ferrari will first showcase the “technological heart” of the upcoming EV on October 9, coinciding with Ferrari’s capital markets day. That event will offer investors and fans alike a first look at the groundbreaking systems underpinning the marque’s bold move into electrification.
Details surrounding the EV remain tightly under wraps, but the announcement marks a pivotal moment for the legendary brand known for its naturally aspirated V12s and screaming V8s. The move to battery-electric power will challenge Ferrari to maintain its emotional connection with drivers—without the symphony of internal combustion.
Despite concerns across the auto industry about shifting demand and new tariffs, Ferrari appears unfazed. The company posted a 15% rise in core earnings and a 13% revenue increase year-over-year, driven by continued demand in Europe and the United States, which remains Ferrari’s largest market.
Vigna emphasized Ferrari’s commitment to innovation, noting that six new models will debut in 2025, including the 296 Speciale, 296 Speciale A, and the much-anticipated electric model—nicknamed by many as the Ferrari Elettrica.
With hybrids now accounting for nearly half of Ferrari’s sales, customer openness to electrification appears strong. Notably, models like the 296 GTB and SF90 Stradale have bridged tradition and technology with significant commercial success.
As Ferrari prepares for its next chapter, all eyes are on how it will deliver the soul-stirring performance and luxury it’s known for—without a drop of fuel.
