Ferrari is poised to make a significant leap into the electric vehicle (EV) market with the anticipated debut of its first fully electric car in 2025. According to Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna, this groundbreaking vehicle has already accumulated thousands of on-road testing miles, signaling the brand’s commitment to delivering an EV that upholds Ferrari’s reputation for performance and luxury.
In a recent interview with Autocar, Vigna confirmed that the EV prototypes are undergoing rigorous testing. “We have prototypes already on the road that have done several thousand kilometers, and we have very qualified clients: test drivers,” Vigna stated. These experienced drivers are providing crucial feedback, ensuring that the new electric Ferrari will meet the high standards expected by the brand’s discerning clientele.
The forthcoming EV will be manufactured in Ferrari’s state-of-the-art E-building, located just north of its Maranello campus. Spanning approximately 450,000 square feet, this facility is equipped with the latest technology to support the production of electric vehicles. Vigna emphasized the importance of this new infrastructure, saying, “The full electric Ferrari demands new technologies, components, and processes which we want to design, engineer, and handcraft here in Maranello.”

Reuters recently reported that the car might even surpass $535,000. Vigna mentioned that final pricing will be determined closer to the vehicle’s market launch.
