One of the most significant modern Ferraris ever built is scheduled to cross the auction block in January, as a 2017 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta heads to Mecum’s Kissimmee 2026 sale with delivery mileage and extraordinary provenance.

Offered as Lot S155 and selling without reserve on Saturday, Jan. 17, the car is one of just 210 LaFerrari Apertas produced worldwide. The odometer reads only 96 miles, and factory documentation identifies this example as the final Aperta built. A factory-installed plaque confirms its end-of-production status based on information provided when the car left assembly.

Finished in Giallo Triplo Strato, the Aperta was ordered new by Phil Bachman with a thin Italian tricolor stripe added by special request. The exterior is paired with a Pelle Nera and Giallo interior and a removable carbon-fiber hardtop, itself a significant factory option. Additional carbon-fiber exterior components and the triple-layer special paint finish further distinguish the specification.
Power comes from Ferrari’s hybrid-assisted 6.3-liter V-12, combining internal combustion and electric drive for a total system output of 949 horsepower. The setup integrates Ferrari’s Formula 1–derived HY-KERS kinetic energy recovery system with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and an electronically controlled differential. The powertrain sits within a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis developed using Formula 1 construction techniques.

The LaFerrari Aperta represents the open-top evolution of Ferrari’s flagship hypercar, following the coupe version limited to 500 units. While performance remained uncompromised, the Aperta added structural reinforcements and a removable roof while retaining extreme aerodynamics and advanced electronic controls.
This example is further accompanied by an Attestation for Special Series Vehicles Yellow Book issued by Ferrari Classiche in 2017, along with its window sticker, books, manuals, car cover and a binder of documentation. Notably, the front storage lid is signed by Ferrari assembly line staff, a detail rarely seen even among limited-production Ferraris.

The car was previously displayed at the 2018 Celebration Exotic Car Festival and has remained effectively preserved since. Its appearance at Mecum Kissimmee Auction places one of Ferrari’s most advanced road cars before bidders with no stated reserve.

As Ferrari’s hybrid hypercar era continues to evolve, the LaFerrari Aperta remains a defining statement of the brand’s Formula 1 technology transfer and design ambition. The final-production example, offered with minimal mileage and extensive factory documentation, stands as a singular opportunity when it crosses the block in Kissimmee.
