General Motors and Barrett-Jackson are gearing up for a historic charity moment during the Scottsdale Auction, January 18-26, 2025. The centerpiece of the event will be the first retail production 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 VIN 001, set to cross the auction block on January 25 at approximately 5:30 PM. All proceeds from the sale will benefit the American Red Cross to support hurricane relief efforts.

As the most powerful and fastest factory Corvette ever, the 2025 ZR1 is a marvel of engineering. Powered by the new LT7 twin-turbocharged DOHC flat-plane crank V8 engine, the ZR1 delivers a staggering 1,064 horsepower at 7,000 rpm. It boasts a top speed of 233 mph and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds, setting records for both speed and quickness in the Corvette lineage.

This auction continues a tradition of Corvette VIN 001 charity sales at Barrett-Jackson. Notably, the 2023 Corvette Z06 70th Anniversary Edition VIN 001 sold for $3.7 million in 2022 to benefit Operation Homefront. Barrett-Jackson chairman Craig Jackson emphasized, “This ZR1 is not only a testament to GM’s engineering brilliance but also their incredible generosity.”

The 2025 ZR1 pays homage to Corvette heritage with design cues reminiscent of the 1963 Split-Window model, blending eighth-generation Stingray-inspired lines with modern aesthetics. Buyers can customize the vehicle to their specifications, choosing from an array of interior and exterior options.

Amy Masica, Chevrolet’s marketing director, hailed the ZR1 as the pinnacle of American performance: “The 2025 Corvette ZR1 is a masterpiece of engineering and design, and it’s fitting that its first production model will contribute to such an important cause.”

Proceeds from the sale will support the American Red Cross, which provides critical aid during natural disasters. To participate in this historic auction or learn more about Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale event, visit their official site.
