Maserati’s most powerful model to date, the 730hp MCXtrema, has finally arrived on British soil. This track-exclusive hypercar, based on the Maserati MC20, was delivered to a UK car collector and motorsport team owner. Designed to be a rare and extreme successor to the MC12, the MCXtrema promises unrivaled performance, with only 62 units produced worldwide—making this a rare sight for British enthusiasts.

Under the hood, the MCXtrema houses a boosted 3.0-liter twin-turbo Nettuno engine, generating an impressive 730hp and 538lb-ft of torque. Paired with a lightweight frame that tips the scales at just 1,300kg, it’s engineered for maximum agility and speed on the track. A combination of high-performance features, including race-grade carbon brakes, adjustable suspension, and center-lock wheels, enhances the MCXtrema’s handling and responsiveness. A massive rear spoiler and shark fin design accentuate its aerodynamic profile, while a fully flat underbody helps increase downforce for unparalleled track performance.

Inside, the MCXtrema reflects its purpose-built focus. It’s a single-seater with an FIA-compliant roll cage, fire suppression system, and air jacks for quick wheel swaps during track days. This no-compromise interior emphasizes safety and speed, prioritizing function over luxury.

The proud new owner, who visited Maserati’s headquarters in Italy and experienced a test ride at Paul Ricard, expressed excitement for his MCXtrema. “Seeing this incredible machine ready for the track is thrilling,” he said. “It’s been configured to my specifications, and I’m eager to push it to its limits on UK circuits.”

With all units already sold at a starting price of £936,000, those interested might look to the Maserati GT2 Stradale, which offers a road-legal alternative at £338,880.
