One of the most exclusive American supercars of the modern era is set to cross the auction block at Mecum’s 2025 Indy sale on Saturday, May 17. A 2020 Ford GT Carbon Edition, showing just 230 original miles, will be offered as Lot R725, showcasing a track-focused build wrapped in motorsport-grade materials and performance tech.
Built as a limited-run model by Ford Performance, the 2020 GT Carbon Edition distinguishes itself with weight-saving enhancements and striking cosmetic upgrades. Under the rear clamshell lies a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 that produces 660 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque. Mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the powertrain propels the GT to hypercar territory in both performance and price.
This particular GT, chassis No. 100086, is finished in Frozen White and equipped with the optional $27,800 Carbon Red Graphics Package. The car features a fully exposed carbon fiber body with aero elements including a speed-activated splitter, deployable rear wing, airbrake, and underbody aero shields—each engineered for maximum downforce and high-speed stability.
The cabin is equally performance-oriented, with fixed Sparco carbon fiber racing seats wrapped in Alcantara, 6-point harness anchors, a serialized interior badge, and a lightweight Alcantara steering wheel.
