The Lexus LFA, a modern icon in the world of supercars, remains a testament to the relentless pursuit of automotive perfection by the Japanese marque. Among the exclusive 500 LFAs produced, a right-hand-drive (RHD) model finished in the striking color of Fresh Green has emerged for sale. One of only two examples ever built in this color, this ultra-rare 2012 LFA offers an extraordinary opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts.

The journey of the LFA began with a nearly decade-long development program initiated by Toyota’s Lexus division, aimed at re-establishing their dominance in the supercar segment. The car’s engineering excellence was honed through rigorous testing, including numerous laps at the Nürburgring. The final product, released in 2009 after extensive refinement, was unlike anything the Japanese manufacturer had produced before, setting a new standard for performance and innovation.

A major focus of the LFA’s development was its engine—a 4.8-liter V10 co-developed with Yamaha. Known as the 1LR-GUE, this engine achieved the unprecedented goal of offering the power of a V12, the compact dimensions of a V8, and the lightweight mass of a V6. Producing over 550 horsepower and revving to an extraordinary 9,500 rpm, the V10 could accelerate from idle to redline in just 0.6 seconds. Every component was meticulously crafted from advanced materials like magnesium, aluminum, and titanium, underscoring Lexus’s commitment to performance. The result was an engine that not only delivered power but also produced a symphonic exhaust note, developed in collaboration with Yamaha’s music division.

This particular LFA, delivered new in 2012, stands out with its Fresh Green paint, a unique shade reminiscent of Porsche’s PTS Viper Green but with a distinct fluorescent quality that shifts under different lighting conditions. The car’s interior complements the bold exterior with a red and black Alcantara finish, accented by a red roof lining and leather door grips. The specification also includes a carbon rear diffuser, rear side spoilers, a CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic) steering wheel, and a Mark Levinson audio system, blending luxury with performance.

Having covered only 1,350km (840 miles) from new, this LFA remains in pristine condition. A recent 2024 service at Lexus Milton Keynes ensures that it’s ready for its next owner. The sale includes the original book pack, a Lexus LFA pen, and a tire depth gauge, adding to the car’s collector appeal.
