A secretive collection of supercars in Switzerland is about to make headlines as one of the most impressive automotive auctions in years. Known as The Tailored for Speed Collection, the group includes 42 of the world’s most coveted performance cars, 33 of which proudly wear Ferrari’s Prancing Horse badge. RM Sotheby’s will present the lineup next month, with automotive journalist Chris Harris recently given exclusive access to explore the remarkable fleet.
The identity of the collector remains undisclosed, but their passion for Ferrari is undeniable. Among the crown jewels is a 1998 Ferrari 333 SP, one of only 40 ever built and a proven race winner. The car, which triumphed in two rounds of the 1999 Sports Racing World Cup, is expected to sell for between $5.5 million and $6.5 million.

Racing heritage runs deep throughout the collection, with other track-born Ferraris like the FXX-K Evo, FXX Evo, and 599 XX also crossing the block. Each represents the pinnacle of Maranello’s experimental engineering, with estimates ranging from $3.5 million to over $5 million.
On the road-going side, buyers can expect showstoppers such as a 2017 LaFerrari Aperta valued around $5.5 million, a Daytona SP3, and an F40—cars that define modern Ferrari mythology. The lineup also includes rarities like the SA Aperta, the F12tdf, and a 488 GTE Evo, bridging the gap between race track and street.
The non-Ferrari offerings are equally dazzling. A Pagani Huayra Roadster BC in Glossy Blue Francia is estimated to bring up to $4.4 million, while an ultra-rare Huayra R and the new Utopia add to Pagani’s presence. Meanwhile, a 2023 Bugatti Chiron Super Sport finished in blue-tinted carbon fiber, showing just 516 kilometers, could achieve a similar figure.

Rounding out the high-octane lineup are a Lamborghini Sian FKP 37, a Mercedes-AMG GT2 Pro, and Bentley’s Continental GT3-R. For car enthusiasts with deep pockets, this Swiss treasure trove represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity—and perhaps the most exciting auction of the decade.
