Jaguar’s ambitious pivot to an all-electric, ultra-luxury brand means UK buyers will have to wait until 2026 for new models. With plans to transition to an entirely electric lineup by 2025, Jaguar aims to reposition itself as a high-end competitor in the luxury market, targeting rivals like Bentley with six-figure price tags.
As part of this strategic shift, Jaguar has already phased out most of its lineup, leaving only the F-Pace SUV available in the UK until recently. However, Jaguar confirmed that, as of November 2024, even the F-Pace will no longer be available in its home market, suspending new car sales entirely until the launch of its EV lineup. UK buyers looking for a Jaguar will now need to explore certified pre-owned options or wait for the arrival of Jaguar’s electric models.
The first of Jaguar’s upcoming electric models is expected to be unveiled before the end of 2024, with a planned reveal in the United States. This four-door GT, rumored to carry a price tag exceeding £100,000, is intended to offer buyers a glimpse of Jaguar’s new design direction, inspired by classic models like the E-Type. CEO Adrian Mardell expressed confidence in the model’s appeal, stating that it would “salivate” consumers with its design and performance.
Jaguar’s previous attempt at an EV, the i-Pace SUV, faced lukewarm reception, with declining sales ultimately leading to its discontinuation. This time, however, Jaguar is betting on a new luxury-focused, EV-exclusive lineup to reinvigorate its brand and capture a share of the ultra-premium market. While the wait may be long, Jaguar promises that its return to the UK will be worth it, aiming to captivate buyers with a high-performance electric lineup that embodies its redefined luxury vision.
