Koenigsegg Agera R Hits 402 km/h in Breathtaking Nürburgring Flyby

A Koenigsegg Agera R stunned spectators at the Nürburgring after blasting down the Döttinger Höhe straight at an eye-watering 402 km/h (250 mph) during a high-speed test session.

Koenigsegg Norway was in attendance at the event, featuring both its Official Test Car, the 7031 Streetfighter, and the Agera R—known for holding world records in top speed and acceleration. On Thursday, as the 1,115-horsepower hypercar roared past the pit lane, its incredible velocity left onlookers in awe.

Taking full advantage of the Nürburgring’s legendary 3.5-kilometer straight, the Agera R reached a GPS-recorded speed of 401.6 km/h before braking just before the Tiergarten bridge. Remarkably, the car achieved this feat on standard Michelin Pilot tires and regular 98-octane fuel, maintaining a road-legal setup.

The Agera R, produced by Swedish automaker Koenigsegg, has long been revered for its cutting-edge aerodynamics, lightweight carbon fiber construction, and a twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V8 capable of extreme speeds. While the Nürburgring is known for its technical corners and unforgiving layout, the Döttinger Höhe straight allows high-performance cars to showcase their raw power in a way rarely seen on public roads.

This latest high-speed run reinforces Koenigsegg’s reputation for pushing the boundaries of automotive engineering, proving once again why the Agera R remains one of the most extreme hypercars ever built.
