A rare automotive event took place at Ammo NYC when three Koenigsegg hypercars were brought in for a deep cleaning and detailing session: the record-setting Agera RS, the Jesko Absolut, and the Regera. These hypercars, each with their own incredible performance feats, were prepared for a photoshoot, showcasing Koenigsegg’s continued dominance in the world of high-performance vehicles.
The Koenigsegg Agera RS remains a legend, holding the world speed record for a production car. In 2017, on a public highway in Nevada, it achieved an astounding average top speed of 277.9 mph (444.6 km/h) over an 11-mile stretch of road. This achievement secured the Agera RS’s place in history as the fastest car on a public road.
The Koenigsegg Regera, renowned for its unique hybrid powertrain, once held the record for the fastest 0-400-0 km/h run. The car reached 400 km/h (249 mph) in just 22.82 seconds before coming to a complete stop in an additional 8.67 seconds. The Regera’s ability to deliver blistering acceleration and equally impressive braking demonstrates Koenigsegg’s engineering expertise.
The Jesko Absolut, the latest model in the Koenigsegg lineup, was also present at the detailing session. This version of the Jesko is specifically designed for high top speeds, featuring a low-drag aerodynamic package. While it has not yet set an official top speed record, it did manage to beat the Regera’s 0-400-0 record, solidifying its position as one of the most capable hypercars ever produced.
With these three record-setting hypercars detailed and prepped, Koenigsegg continues to push the boundaries of speed, engineering, and design, cementing its place among the elite in the hypercar world.
