Lamborghini Revuelto Faces Ferrari SF90 in Epic Hybrid Supercar Drag Race

In a supercar drag race that’s captured the attention of car enthusiasts worldwide, Brooks Weisblat of DragTimes staged a showdown between two hybrid giants: the Lamborghini Revuelto and the Ferrari SF90. While both cars pack staggering horsepower and cutting-edge technology, the race highlighted how factors beyond sheer power can determine the outcome on the track.

The Lamborghini Revuelto comes equipped with a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine paired with three electric motors, producing a jaw-dropping 1,001 hp and 749 lb-ft of torque. Its power is directed through an 8-speed Graziano dual-clutch automatic transmission, making it one of the most formidable machines in Lamborghini’s history. On the other side of the track, the Ferrari SF90 brings its own hybrid prowess with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine, complemented by three electric motors to generate a combined 986 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. This setup gives Ferrari’s first plug-in hybrid a unique edge with its intricate balance of speed and agility.

As the race kicks off, both cars explode off the line with raw, electrified force. The Revuelto’s V12 roar is met by the SF90’s powerful V8 growl, creating an audio spectacle in addition to the visual thrill. Though the Revuelto edges out a slight power advantage, its 252-lb-ft higher torque seems to promise an acceleration edge—but the SF90’s weight, aerodynamics, and advanced hybrid systems come into play in unexpected ways.

This drag race serves as a reminder that while horsepower is a major factor, weight distribution, aerodynamics, and hybrid technology are critical in today’s high-stakes supercar battles. The Lamborghini and Ferrari rivalry remains as fierce as ever, proving that every detail counts in the pursuit of speed. For fans, this head-to-head may be just the beginning of many thrilling hybrid supercar races to come.
